Slyme — First Blog
hey guys,this is my first blog, so keeping it simple. , I m Abhay,i’ve been building this social platform called Slyme for the past few weeks. i started it as a personal project and have been putting it together block by block.
the app is still incomplete, but the core features are ready and it’s already hosted here: Slyme

what slyme does right now
Integrates Google Maps to connect with your surroundings, letting you create social rooms and post gigs directly on the public map
The idea behind gigs is simple ,a quick way for people to post small tasks and let others earn by doing them. i originally thought of this during a eco hackathon to engage people alongment
It also has a solid chat system for room members and DMs — still improving it and working on adding proper E2EE.
There’s a simple social feed alongside the map , for now i just copied twitter’s UI since my focus was getting it to work :)
why i’m building it
well as i said it was a personal project but things are getting serious specially coding the E2EE has made me realized how hollow is encryption in most of the social apps
what’s next
I’ll post more updates once next benchmark(E2EE) is achieved .
